2012 Pre-season Squad

The first round of trials for the 2012 Capricorn Claws will be held on Sunday, 30th October 2011.  They will be held in Rockhampton, with times and venue to be confirmed.

A squad of up to 25 players will be selected to undertake the pre-season Claws training, which will commence the following week. 

Training will consist of two sessions per week (strength and conditioning, aerobic).  There will also be specialist sessions held rotationally at least once every two weeks.  For example:  If you are a shooter, you will have a session once every two weeks.  It is also expected that you will do your own work when not at the specialist sessions.

There will be a break over the Christmas- New Year period of approximately 4 to 5 weeks.

Final trials will be held on the 1th and 19th February 2012.

It will also be of benefit for squad players to participate in the RNA Premier League competition being held at CQ University Indoor Centre, Rockhampton.  Information can be found on the RNA website, www.eteamz.com/rockynetball.  This competition starts on Tuesday the 18th October 2011.

All positions in this camp have been filled. 

The Stanwell 12 and 13 Years Claws Junior Talent Camp will be held on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October 2011.  This camp will be hosted by Emerald Netball Association at Morton Park, Emerald.

Participants need to be 12 – 13 years old as at 31st December 2011.

To register your interest in attending this camp, please contact your local association.  Each association in the Capricorn Region is responsible for selection of players invited to the camp.
